What is facelift and neck lift?

It works in layers: the supportive muscle and connective tissue layer (the SMAS) is tightened, excess fat is removed where it accumulates, such as under the chin, and the skin is redraped over the new contour without excess tension. That layered approach is what helps results look natural.
Incisions usually run around the ear and often into the hairline, sometimes with a small incision under the chin to address the neck. A facelift does not change fine skin texture or the fine lines around the lips; those are typically treated with laser, peels or injectables.
