What is brow lift?
As we age, the brows descend, horizontal lines form across the forehead and vertical frown lines deepen between the brows. Besides making you look tired, angry or sad, low brows can add to the heavy skin that gathers over the upper eyelids. A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, corrects these changes.

The procedure removes excess tissue, modifies the muscles that cause expression lines and tightens the forehead skin, returning the brows to a more natural height. It can be done with a traditional approach, using an incision across the top of the head just behind the hairline, or endoscopically, through four or five short incisions that allow a small camera to guide the surgery on a monitor.
The choice of technique depends on the height of your forehead, your hairline and how much the brows need to be lifted. A brow lift is often combined with eyelid surgery to refresh the entire eye area.
A good brow lift restores a natural brow position rather than raising it too far. Brows set too high can create a permanently surprised look, so the amount of lift is carefully planned. Incisions are hidden in the scalp or along the hairline, and results typically last five to ten years.
