Safety and credentials

The most important decision you will make is who operates on you and where. Whichever surgeon you choose, confirm these two things yourself before you travel.

How to verify a surgeon in Mexico

Check that the surgeon is certified in plastic surgery by the Mexican Board of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (CMCPER), which publishes a directory of certified surgeons. Then look up the surgeon's specialty license, called a cédula de especialidad, in the public registry of Mexico's Ministry of Education.

A title such as "cosmetic surgeon" does not tell you this on its own. Ask for the board certification and the license number, and verify them.

Tell me what you have in mind

Tell me whatever you'd like. If there's medical history, medication or test results, we'll go over those at the consultation — that's where they're handled privately.

We'll be in touch to schedule your consultation at the office. The diagnosis happens there — I need to see you to tell you what's really right for you, and that can't be done over a message.
